It's a wrap. It was a glorious fall day here in Michigan. Our day started with the birth of a First Generation Fullblood Beefalo heifer!!! She is a new bloodline and will produce new genetics for the Beefalo Breed. Her parents are a 3/4 Bison cow Ruby Star and SAF Jupiter a 100% White Galloway bull. God's timing is perfect every time with the birth of this precious baby while the crew were here to film. What a blessing to begin our day. The crew watched me prepare their lunch and had their first taste of Beefalo burgers. Because Beefalo is very lean they enjoyed the whole process from start to finish. From watching me add mayonnaise to the raw meat (to add some fat) and how it leaves no fat residue in the pan after cooking. They were amazed and kept saying it was delicious. Then on to viewing the herd and watching the action of farm life to finish up the day. The video will feature two other Beefalo farms. One is located in Texas and will be filmed this winter. And one is located in Tennessee and will be filmed next spring. The film crew also plans on attending the annual National Meeting of the American Beefalo Association and 2027 Spring Beefalo Show.
